Salmon Cake with Homemade Tarter Sauce (DF, GF, Paleo, Whole30)

Salmon Cakes

-1 (15 oz.) can of salmon

-1/4 c. coconut or almond flour

-1 egg

-1 Tbsp. whole grain mustard

-salt and pepper

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.  Add coconut oil.  Allow to melt.
  2. Drain the salmon.
  3. Break the salmon apart.
  4. Add the coconut or almond flour, egg, mustard, salt, and pepper.  Mix to combine.
  5. Form into four patties.
  6. Add to the skillet.  Allow to cook for 5 minutes.
  7. Flip and allow to cook for 5 more minutes.
  8. Enjoy with homemade tarter sauce.

 

Tarter Sauce

  • Servings: 4
  • Difficulty: easy

-1/2 c. of homemade mayo

-1 Tbsp. whole grain mustard

-1 dill pickle spear, cut into smaller pieces (also a Tbsp. of the juice)

-salt and pepper

  1. Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.
  2. Enjoy on a salmon cake.
